Who is Brandon Prelogar, US attorney general Elizabeth Prelogar’s husband?

Brandon Prelogar married his wife, Elizabeth, on May 31, 2008. 2022 will mark their 14th wedding anniversary.

The ceremony took place in Santiago de Atitlán, a municipality in the Sololá department of Guatemala.

They also had two post-wedding receptions in the US for those who couldn’t attend the actual wedding.

Elizabeth and Brandon Prelogar have two sons, Blaise and Beckett.

What does he do?

Brandon Prelogar attended Dartmouth College and Yale University, the latter from 2001 to 2003. During the turn of the millennium, he volunteered for two years with the US Peace Corps as a teacher of English as a foreign language.

He would later become a policy advisor for the Department of Homeland Security – a post he filled for four years.

His LinkedIn profile describes him as the chief of international and humanitarian affairs at DHS, and the director for human rights at “NSS”, although it doesn’t link directly to the National Security Strategy.

Elizabeth Prelogar received her law degree in 2008 – the same year she married her husband – from Harvard Law School.

While studying, she was an articles editor of the Harvard Law Review, the national champion in the ABA Moot Court competition, and a finalist in the Ames Moot Court competition. 

Before going to law school, she completed a master’s degree in creative writing at the University of St Andrews, in the UK. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English and Russian at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia.
