Throughout the years, many Star Wars enthusiasts have argued Boba Fett as the coolest character of the franchise.
He’s the helmet-clad underdog that an increasing number of people felt deserved his time in the spotlight courtesy of a live-action film or series. Fortunately, prayers have been answered, but who is Boba’s biggest competition when it comes to cool characters?

Of course, it’s Han Solo.

Portrayed by Harrison Ford, the smuggler and captain of the Millennium Falcon has long been celebrated as one of the film series’ greatest offerings.

We saw the actor reprise the role in J.J. Abrams’ The Force Awakens and, in the wake of rumours, audiences can’t help but ask an appealing question. Is Han Solo in The Book of Boba Fett?

Is Han Solo in The Book of Boba Fett?

He hasn’t appeared yet and neither Lucasfilm nor officials aboard the project have confirmed Harrison Ford’s return as Han Solo. Although, The Sun has highlighted rumours that the actor filmed some scenes for the show in London.

Harrison allegedly took a break from the set of Indiana Jones 5 to shoot some sequences.

If he is set to appear, it’s not exactly hard to see why the creators wish to keep the cameo under wraps. However, the rumours line up with others that have emerged in the past, as back in December a leaker named Nick Santos tweeted that the actor would be back.

He described the appearance to be in the same vein as Mark Hamill’s role in The Mandalorian.

Considering that The Book of Boba Fett explores the criminal underworld that Han was firmly a part of, it’s arguably even more likely. If he did appear, he would be de-aged like Mark Hamill was for The Mandalorian, as this latest series serves as a prequel.

“I have a good feeling”

A number of fans have recently hopped onto Twitter to either react to the rumours or offer their own thoughts on a potential cameo.

Same Han, different star?

While Mark Hamill’s Mando appearance does make a Harrison cameo feel more likely, it’s worth addressing the fact that Mark has been vocal about his passion for the franchise over the years.

On the other hand, Harrison has been open about his apathy in regards to Star Wars, even dismissing interview questions that attempt to sway the conversation towards franchise discussion.

He did appear in The Rise of Skywalker so it’s not a stretch to imagine him returning However, considering this would be the younger version of Han, it’s also a possibility that the character would be played once again by Alden Ehrenreich, who played Han in the 2018 origin story Solo: A Star Wars Story.

It would make sense to bring him back into the fold for a brief appearance, as audiences would already recognise that he is younger Han thanks to having already seen him tackle the part.

We’ll simply have to wait and see.
