Coutinho, 29, has failed to live up to his enormous £142million price tag at Barcelona – following his move from Liverpool in January 2018. In four years at the Nou Camp, he has managed just 106 appearances for Barca.
A return to the Premier League is likely. Goal Brasil report that Everton are keen, but so are Liverpool in forming a reunion at Anfield. Steven Gerrard also wants to reunite with Coutinho, having played with him at Liverpool.
Speaking about Coutinho following his move from Liverpool to Barcelona back in 2018, Richarlison was full of praise for his Brazil teammate. He said the “incredible” star was the “future of Brazil” – though it has not transpired.
“I think he’s a great character and a great player. He is the future of Brazil. “He’s also known as ‘the little magician’. He is incredible and I wish him all the best at Barcelona,” Richarlison told Sky Sports in 2018.

Richarlison on Coutinho: Could Everton convince Brazilian?
Without a doubt. The chance to play alongside Richarlison, under Rafa Benitez and for a side where he could end up permanently – why not. The issue is, would Coutinho join Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals?
Benitez did so in the summer and it sparked outrage – but it is more prominent among managers, than it is players. Liverpool fans would be fuming if Everton got their hands on Coutinho.
The front runners are likely to be Liverpool and Villa. Whether Liverpool need him remains to be seen, but the chance to work alongside Gerrard again will surely prove tempting for Coutinho this month.
